Beach Zrće

Beach Zrće near Novalja on the island of Pag has become the top destination for young people from Croatia, and becomes more and more popular in western Europe. It all started twenty years ago when nightclub 'Calypso' was opend on Zrće where people have been partying since 1988. With the coming of clubs' Aquarius' and 'Papaya' from Zagreb, beach Zrće becomes a tourist phenomenon that the media pretentiously called "Croatian Ibiza".
Beach Zrće is a long, pebbled beach, located in the northeast part of the island of Pag. On the beach there is no natural shade, there is always a great crowd at both the beach and in a series of nearby premises. Zrće Beach owns' Blue Flag 'which means that the sea is clear, that there are showers and toilets, and that from 10-18 rescue service operates. Buildings on the beach are adapted for disabled persons.
Party starts at all three clubs at 16h and lasts until morning outsides and in the pools. On the beach Zrće there are various sports, recreational and entertainment facilities such as scooters, beach volleyball, water slides, and quality restaurants.
Zrće - Croatian tourism phenomenon, 24-hour party zone, some would say Sodom and Gomorrah, and those who come there call it "Bi-monthly madness" and a wonderful beach and fun. Zrće Beach has brought popularity to Novalja and island Pag.

Well-known British magazine Mixmag, indispensable guide for young people who travel and are looking for fun, last year declared the club Aquarius on the beach Zrće the most desirable location for fun in Europe. 'Aquarius' has found it self in front of the famous club Cavo Paradiso at the island of Mikonos, Murettou in Venice or Der Visionarwe in Berlin, which is all great tourist propaganda for Croatia.
Nearby is the large camp 'Strasko' which has a special section for naturists. Adults can enjoy the morning gymnastics, aerobics, aqua aerobics during the day and karaoke and dance with live music during the evenings or on the beach.
